The Black Belt: A Journey in Inspiration

When a Gracie Barra student earns a Black Belt, it represents the leadership framework we live out every day, with the drive and dream of Master Carlos Gracie Jr. to dream big, along with the physical, mental, and emotional dedication put forth by that student. The ICP5 gives us deeper insight into how the Leadership Framework and living legacy of Master Carlos Gracie Jr. come together to provide a thorough sense of what it means to be a Black Belt, compared to what it means to earn a Black Belt.

Let’s start with that idea of earning a Black Belt. It is probably something even your beginning students desire when they first walk through the doors of your GB School. They want that symbol of their accomplishments and efforts. So even though while you understand that it takes more to be a Black Belt, you still provide the training necessary for them to start their journey of earning a Black Belt.
