GB Wear Donates Gi's to Help Kids at Risk in Brazil

Gracie Barra Helps Kids in Brazil

Gracie Barra Continues to Changes Lives in Brazil

In a continuing effort to help improve people’s lives in the community, Gracie Barra has been working on a social project that has been 10 years in the making.  Led by Professors Rodrigo Carvalho (GB Vancouver) and Ferreira Alexandre Santo (GB South Austin) in the community of Varjão in Brasilia. The aim of the project is to help children and adolescents at risk. Many children and teenagers have gotten their lives back on track by getting on the mats at Gracie Barra in Varjão, and have grown to become healthy adults because of this project.  Through this project today about 250 children train regularly.

GB Wear USA recently partnered up with GB Wear Brazil to donate several dozen brand new GB Gi’s to this project. Professors Marcio Feitosa and Kayron Gracie went to Brasilia, Brazil to attend the graduation ceremony and deliver the Gi’s together with Professors Rodrigo and Alexandre.

Gracie Barra has the most decorated team in the world. What some people are finding now is that our team also has tireless leaders who work daily to expand and improve people’s lives through the gentle art of Jiu-Jitsu.
