Jiu-Jitsu Lifestyle: training beyond BJJ
Jiu-Jitsu is More than Chokes and Armbars
Embracing the Jiu-Jitsu Lifestyle means having the desire to stay healthy and the passion to train your body, mind and spirit to become the best of your self.
As a Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, you must establish a routine of healthy meals, daily exercise and of course attend as many classes as possible at your Gracie Barra School. Your instructor is a mentor and is there to guide an motivate you to stay on your Jiu-Jitsu path.
A great way to continue working on your Jiu-Jitsu is to find different workouts you enjoy, preferably outdoors.
Master Carlos Gracie Jr. Would climb the Pedra da Gávea rock twice a week for years while leaving in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro. Now, he nurtures the habit of Sandhill workouts in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina where he lives.
How About you? What kind of workout you enjoy the most outside of Jiu-Jitsu?
