Video Lesson – Side Mount Choke
When you take the Gi off to practice Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi the grips and speed change. The opponent becomes slippery and it makes hard for you to stabilise the positions. This new reality calls for an adjustment in the way you roll and it is important that you make adjustments in your game. Don’t panic. We are here to help.
Motivated by the World No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu Championship, which takes place on November 2nd and 3rd in Long beach, and looking to help you perform better in your No-Gi training, we went after Professor Jefferson Moura for advice. Prof Jefferson is native from Rio de Janeiro, a black belt 4th degree and chief instructor for the legendary Gracie Barra Rio de Janeiro (The GB Rio was founded in 1986 by Master Carlos Gracie Jr.).
In this video lesson, taught in portuguese, Prof Jefferson demonstrates a No-Gi Side Mount Choke to be applied when your opponent tries to escape from side mount.
Enjoy 🙂
