Advanced Jiu-Jitsu

Take your training to the next level with advanced techniques, live sparring, and the introduction of No-Gi.

Ready for the Next Level? GB2 Starts Here.

The GB2 Program is designed for students who have built a strong foundation through GB1 and are ready to deepen their skills and push their training further.

With a focus on more advanced techniques, strategic drilling, positional awareness, and live sparring, GB2 offers a more intense and challenging experience - while still maintaining the structure and support Gracie Barra is known for.

This is also where students begin No-Gi training, expanding their understanding of Jiu-Jitsu by adapting techniques without the traditional uniform. No-Gi sessions help improve speed, agility, and grip control, preparing students for a broader range of competition and real-life scenarios.

Eligibility: Students must have at least 3 stripes on a white belt, typically earned after a minimum of 4 months of consistent training.

Class Benefits

  • Builds on GB1 fundamentals with advanced techniques and strategies
  • Introduces positional awareness, live sparring, and complex drills
  • Incorporates No-Gi training for a well-rounded Jiu-Jitsu experience

Staying hydrated is essential. Bring a water bottle to keep refreshed throughout your training.

Official GB Uniform

Wearing the official Gracie Barra Gi or No-Gi uniform reflects our team identity and maintains the high standards of our school.

Slip-on Shoes

Reviews

  • Great environment and awesome gym, highly recommend
  • Great to have such a high quality BJJ gym on this side of Newcastle. Khan is a passionate coach and this is a perfect opportunity to get some focused attention before the mat fills up.
  • Just went to grand opening. Professor Khan is awesome and very welcoming. Very relaxed environment. No ego's. Everyone is there to help each other. If you live in the Terrace, Lakeside and surrounding areas. I strongly suggest you come give it a try. You wont regret it.
  • This is a wonderful gym which has got me as a recent convert to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Khan is great at making the atmosphere friendly, fun and very comfortable to train in. A good focus on the discipline of martial art while also not being over the top. Excellent for beginners all the way through to veterans of the sport 🙂
  • Such a great opportunity for the kids to learn a new skill along side discipline. Coach Khan is so engaging. My favourite is watching the kids do the student cread at the beginning of class and the parents and kids class. So much fun to do with my kids while they are learning.
  • An awesome Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gym with a great atmosphere and genuinely good people. The coaches are friendly, highly skilled and incredibly approachable, creating an environment where everyone feels welcome, regardless of age, experience or ability. What really stands out is how inclusive the gym is. Whether you’re completely new to BJJ, training for competition, or simply looking to get fitter and learn something new, there’s a place for you here. The coaching is excellent, the members are supportive, and there’s a real sense of community. You’re encouraged to improve, but there’s no ego or pressure. It’s a place where you can train hard, learn from talented people and actually enjoy coming through the doors. Couldn’t recommend this gym highly enough. If you’ve ever thought about giving BJJ a go, this is the kind of place you want to start.
  • Have been practising Brazilian Jiu jitsu for over 3 years now and was initially nervous to start at a new school but Khan is a very knowledgeable and welcoming teacher and I would recommend anybody to come and be a part of this community
  • What a great place! Super supportive environment to learn the ropes and a great family environment
