Gracie Barra Colorado Springs Celebrates 15 years of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
For 15 years, Gracie Barra Colorado Springs has had the privilege of sharing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with the Colorado Springs community.
We opened our doors in 2011, and since then, thousands of classes, promotions, competitions, friendships, and unforgettable moments have happened on these mats. What began as a place to train Jiu-Jitsu has grown into a community of kids, teens, adults, families, competitors, hobbyists, and instructors who continue to learn and grow together.
This September, we’re excited to celebrate that milestone with the people who made it possible.
Join Us for Our 15-Year Anniversary Celebration
On Saturday, September 26th, Gracie Barra Colorado Springs will host a special anniversary celebration that is free and open to our community.
12:00 PM — Free Jiu-Jitsu Seminar
We’ll kick off the afternoon together on the mats with a free Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu seminar. Adults, teens, and kids are welcome to participate.
1:30 PM — Black Belt Degree Promotions
Following the seminar, we’ll recognize an especially meaningful milestone as Professors Joe, Josh, and Al receive their black belt degrees.
Potluck Celebration
After promotions, stick around and celebrate with us! Students, families, friends, and former members are welcome to join the potluck and spend some time together off the mats.
15 Years of Jiu-Jitsu in Colorado Springs
A lot can change in 15 years. Students who walked through our doors as beginners have become experienced practitioners, competitors, coaches, and leaders. Kids have grown up on our mats. Families have trained together. Friendships have formed that extend far beyond Jiu-Jitsu.
Through all of that change, our goal has remained remarkably simple: create a place where people can learn excellent Jiu-Jitsu, challenge themselves, and belong to a strong community.
We’re incredibly grateful to every student, parent, coach, training partner, friend, and family member who has been part of Gracie Barra Colorado Springs since 2011.
Whether you train with us today, trained with us years ago, or simply want to come see what our community is about, we’d love to have you join us on September 26th.
Here’s to 15 years on the mats in Colorado Springs—and to all the people who made those years possible.
