Instructors
Master Carlos Alberto Liberi is a Coral Belt (7th degree) in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with over 45 years dedicated to the art. He is a 3x IBJJF Pan-American Champion, Brazilian Champion and a respected leader within the global Jiu-Jitsu community.
As part of the Gracie Barra Florida Leadership Council, Master Liberi actively contributes to the growth and direction of Jiu-Jitsu in the region. Throughout his career, he has formed more than 100 Black Belts and champions both on and off the mats, shaping lives through discipline, respect and leadership.
When he first arrived from Brazil, Master Liberi taught self-defense classes at the Orlando National Guard, extending the reach of Jiu-Jitsu beyond the academy walls. Later, alongside his wife Priscilla, he founded Gracie Barra Sanford, a project that represents not only expansion but also a mission to build a strong community rooted in the values of Jiu-Jitsu.
At Gracie Barra Sanford, Master Liberi serves as Head Instructor and Technical Director, sharing his world-class expertise and his passion for inspiring students of all ages to reach their full potential on and off the mats while carrying forward the Gracie Barra legacy.
