Professor Flávio Marques is a passionate martial arts professional, with more then 20 years experiencie , a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and a Black Belt in Judo who moved from Brazil to the United States over a decade ago in pursuit of new opportunities and a better future for his family. With a lifelong dedication to martial arts, he further developed his journey through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a discipline that became one of his greatest passions.After years of consistent training under Professor Alexandre “Café” Dantas—widely recognized as one of the most respected, professional, and admired instructors in the Jiu-Jitsu community—and a long, disciplined journey, Professor Flávio earned his Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and became a dedicated instructor. His life is devoted to sharing knowledge, values, discipline, and personal growth through martial arts.As a parent and mentor, Professor Flávio developed a strong interest in youth development after witnessing the positive transformation of many children through Jiu-Jitsu. This inspired him to build a strong and supportive community through Gracie Barra, grounded in its solid foundation and philosophy.Located in Palm Coast, Florida, his academy is committed to providing high-quality instruction and creating a positive environment where individuals and families can grow together. The focus is on delivering exceptional experiences and helping students become the best version of themselves.The vision behind this work is aligned with the legacy of Master Carlos Gracie Jr., whose leadership transformed Gracie Barra from a single school with just over 100 students in 1986 into a global organization spanning six continents in over 40 years. Today, Gracie Barra represents one of the most successful and unified teams in martial arts history, with more than 1,000 schools and over 175,000 students worldwide.Gracie Barra is built on strong philosophical principles that promote unity, personal growth, and mutual respect.
