ICP Certified BJJ Instructor, First Aid, CPR and working with children
I grew up in Pakistan and was a renewed researcher and motivational Speaker. I was just a regular guy who used to share my experiences about life and challenges. I was trained in various martial arts disciplines, including Kyokushin, Karate, and Taekwondo. I started Brazilian Jiu-jitsu in 2015, and now you can see me daily on mats. My speciality is not fighting or combat sports. Still, I consider myself a teacher who will help his team members live a successful life.

Getting injured when he was 16 years old, James then qualified as a Rugby League coach with the Australian Rugby League. First training in Taekwondo and finding Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with Gracie Barra Hoppers Crossing, James found a ‘home’ and is now enjoying passing on his knowledge and passion for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

After watching an episode of DragonballZ when she was 11, Sana decided she wanted to learn a fighting skill to become like her favourite character. When she emigrated to Melbourne, Australia, she started Karate, and although she loved it, she craved the real-life martial aspect that wasn't being provided. After researching and debating for months on which martial art would be best for her, Jiu-Jitsu came up every single time, and she finally joined the Gracie Barra family.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a significant blessing for my family and me, fostering discipline, grounding, and a unique bond through our shared interest. My journey in martial arts began at a young age, influenced by my late father, with whom I trained in Pencak Silat until my late teens. In 2019, I enrolled my two sons in BJJ, and I subsequently joined. As of 2025, my entire family—my wife, our three sons, and our daughter—are actively training. My certifications include ICP and First Aid.
