Coach Jilari Reinaldo – Blue Belt
ICP6, CPR
Coach Jilari is a blue belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu under her husband, Professor Thiago Reinaldo. She discovered jiu-jitsu in 2015, drawn in by her husband’s dedication and passion. Starting her own journey in December 2018, she trained diligently until life took a joyful turn with the arrival of their youngest daughter in May 2019.
Returning to the mats at the end of 2020, she embraced the challenge of balancing rigorous training with being a mother of three. This journey led her to her first competition at the IBJJF Washington DC Open in June 2022, where she proudly secured second place, followed by third at the Orlando Summer Open, and another second at the New Haven Open.
Stepping into the role of an assistant coach for the Little Champions program, she has found joy in inspiring young minds, mirroring the way jiu-jitsu has inspired their family. November 2022 marked a significant milestone in her journey when she received her blue belt.
With a renewed focus, she is committed to advancing in competitions, improving daily, and nurturing her family’s bond through the art of Jiu-Jitsu. Every challenge in this sport is a chance for growth, and every victory, a celebration.
