Gracie Barra Stafford provides defensive and non-lethal tactics training to both US and international law enforcement personnel through the use of Brazilian jiu-jitsu.  Our defensive tactics are based on extensive special operations experience as well as input from seasoned law enforcement officers.  These tactics has been used in the field and proven to be effective in hostile encounters between law enforcement personnel and a suspect.

Tactics covered include practical takedowns, escapes from disadvantaged positions, non-lethal joint manipulation, and immobilization tactics to ensure safety to both the law enforcement professional and the suspect.  These moves are complimentary to cuffing and immobilization techniques frequently rehearsed by law enforcement personnel.
