Gracie Barra Kids
Our GBK Program introduces children to Jiu-Jitsu in a fun, safe, and age-appropriate classes - building confidence, discipline, and respect through structured curriculum. It focuses on self-defence, takedowns, and ground techniques.
Jiu-Jitsu Fundamentals
The GB1 Program is the foundation of Jiu-Jitsu at Gracie Barra. Originally called the "Fundamental Program," it offers structured training in self-defence, core techniques, and the philosophy of Gracie Barra. Designed for beginners, GB1 builds strong technical skills and prepares students for progression to advanced levels.
Advanced Jiu-Jitsu
The GB2 Program builds on fundamentals with advanced techniques, complex drills, No-Gi training and live sessions - preparing students for GB3. Eligibility requires at least 3 stripes on a white belt, which requires a minimum of 4 months of training.
Expert Jiu-Jitsu
The GB3 Program is the ultimate level of training at a GB school and challenges students, increasing the complexity of the drills, and the intensity of the training session. It is open to blue belts and above.
Jiu-Jitsu for Women
The GBF Program offers a supportive and inclusive introduction to Jiu-Jitsu for women, focusing on core techniques while building confidence and preparing students to progress into more advanced classes like GB1, GB2 and GB3.
Private Classes
Private classes offer one-on-one training tailored to your goals - whether it's refining techniques, preparing for competition, or accelerating progress. With personalized training schedules and focused feedback, students of all levels gain deeper insight into their Jiu-Jitsu journey.

Professor Marcelo Rezende is a 6th Degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt under Master Carlos Gracie Jr. and the Head Instructor of Gracie Barra Headquarters – Sydney. A pioneer of BJJ in Australia, he founded the first Gracie Barra school in the country in 2002 and has played a key role in expanding the GB Oceania network to 45+ schools.
With over 30 years of experience, he has coached champions in BJJ, MMA, and submission grappling, and trained elite rugby athletes like the Manly Sea Eagles. As Regional Director of GB Oceania, Professor Marcelo continues to lead with professionalism and a passion for Jiu-Jitsu for Everyone.

Professor Anderson Wanderley is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt from Recife, Brazil, awarded by Professor Marcelo Rezende. With a martial arts journey that began in Judo in 1995 and transitioned to BJJ in 2007, he brings deep technical knowledge and lifelong passion to the mats.
As an instructor at Gracie Barra Headquarters – Sydney, Professor Anderson is dedicated to helping students of all ages and levels grow in skill, confidence, and discipline through structured, high-quality Jiu-Jitsu training.

Professor Markson Nascimento is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt from Fortaleza, Brazil, with over 15 years of training experience. A student of Professor Marcelo Rezende, he has taught in multiple countries, combining his passion for Jiu-Jitsu and language education to empower both kids and adults. Now based in Sydney, he brings valuable international teaching experience to Gracie Barra Headquarters – helping students build discipline, confidence, and personal connection on and off the mats.

Coach Giuliana has been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for 9 years and leads the GBF Women’s Only Program at Gracie Barra Headquarters – Sydney. With a degree in psychology, she brings a unique understanding of individual needs and emotional development into her teaching. Coach Giuliana creates a safe, welcoming space where women can grow in skill, confidence, and connection — on and off the mats.
