The GBF Program offers a supportive and inclusive introduction to Jiu-Jitsu for women, focusing on core techniques while building confidence and preparing students to progress into more advanced classes like GB1, GB2, and GB3.

Led by certified instructors, GBF provides a structured and positive environment that encourages women to challenge themselves physically and mentally. It's more than self-defence - it's a path to personal growth, resilience, and community.

What to Bring to Your First Class

Water Bottle

Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated during training.

Comfortable Clothing

Wear activewear like shorts, leggings, and a t-shirt that allows you to move freely. A Gracie Barra Gi and rashguard will be provided for your introductory class.

Slip-on Shoes

Flip-flops or sandals make it easy to keep the mats clean and transition in and out of class quickly.

Positive Attitude

Come ready to learn, have fun, and challenge yourself. Everyone starts somewhere, and our team is here to support you.

Do I need prior martial arts experience to join GBF?
No experience needed! GBF is designed for all levels - from complete beginners to experienced practitioners looking for a fresh start.
Can I train in GB1, GB2, or GB3 after GBF?
Absolutely. GBF is designed to help you build the skills and confidence needed to transition smoothly into GB1, GB2, and GB3.
Do women train only with other women in GBF?
Yes, GBF classes are women-only, creating a safe and supportive space. As you progress, you’ll also have the option to join mixed classes if you choose.
What if I feel nervous or out of shape?
That’s completely normal. Our instructors and teammates are here to support you. Everyone starts somewhere, and GBF is the perfect place to begin.
