Grappling Industries, Dec. 2021

The December grappling tournament in Everett was a first for many of our students, but they all handled wins and losses with grace (and a few tears).

But that’s part of losing. You figure out what works, what doesn’t and, hopefully, a loss lights a fire inside you to try harder in training, be more diligent and focused.

Competing isn’t for everyone, but if you practice BJJ it should be on your bucket list. It helps your jiu-jitsu, it gives you a sense of where you are in your training journey and it pushes you out of your comfort zone.

“Whenever you feel uncomfortable, instead of retreating back into your old comfort zone, pat yourself on the back and say, “I must be growing,” and continue moving forward.”- T. Harv Eker
