4. Logan Anderson – Purple Belt
Logan first stepped onto the mats when he was 12 years old and quickly found a deep appreciation for the technical side of Jiu-Jitsu. Though his initial time in the sport was short—just over a year and a half—Jiu-Jitsu left a lasting impression.
It didn’t take long to rediscover the sense of purpose and joy the sport had given him. Since then, Logan has competed in several provincial tournaments, earning gold medals and valuable experience. He’s currently one of the youngest purple belts at Gracie Barra Edmonton and is continuing to learn and grow with the goal of one day competing nationally.
For Logan, Jiu-Jitsu has become more than just a sport—it’s a way to reset, clear his mind, and stay grounded. It’s helped him navigate challenges and has brought some of the most meaningful moments in his life.
In August 2023, Logan began assisting with classes, which naturally evolved into an opportunity to lead his own. Teaching has been a rewarding experience, and he’s grateful for the chance to give back to the team that’s helped shape his journey. With a calm presence and a genuine desire to support others, Logan is proud to be part of the Gracie Barra instructor family.
