One more trophy for the shelf!
Gracie Barra Chantilly is proud to report on the successful performance of our students at the PBJJF Washington D.C. Winter Open. All of our competitors represented the team with honor and pride, and we are thrilled to announce that our team brought home multiple medals in both gi and no gi divisions.
Our team consisted of 13 competitors in the gi division and 7 competitors in the no gi division. In the gi division, our team brought home 4 gold medals, 5 silver medals, and 2 bronze medals. In the no gi division, we earned 2 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and 3 bronze medals.
Two students who stood out during the tournament were Peter Hernandez and Rawley Francisco. Peter won all 4 of his matches by submission and did not give up any points, bringing home 2 gold medals. Rawley also won all 4 of his matches without allowing any points to be scored on him, earning 2 gold medals as well.
We are also proud to announce that in collaboration with our brothers and sisters from GB Stafford, Gracie Barra Virginia brought home 3rd place in the kids tournament.
Overall, it was an incredible performance by our students at the PBJJF Washington D.C. Winter Open. We commend each and every one of our competitors for their hard work and dedication, and we are excited to see what they will achieve in future tournaments.
