Professor Roger Smith
Professor Roger started training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 2014 because of his interest in self defense. Roger has always had a love for martial arts. As a youth, he was involved in Okinawan Karate and some of his favorite memories are learning Hapkido with his dad and great uncle.
Professor Roger has several years of experience training law enforcement officers in the art of jiu jitsu to assist them with their jobs.
Professor Roger adheres to Master Helio Gracie’s philosophy that a smaller person can use leverage and technique to defeat a stronger, larger opponent.
Professor Roger loves teaching and is one of the instructors for the no-gi program at Gracie Barra.
