Coach John Dixon

Coach John began learning the art & skill of Brazilian Jui Jitsu in 2019. Introduced by his friend Professor Tom, he quickly found a passion that fully engulfed him in the BJJ lifestyle. Coach John didn’t begin Jiu Jitsu until in his 50’s and believes it’s never too late to take on the Jiu Jitsu journey. However, he does wish he would have begun a little sooner. He was awarded his purple belt by Professor Marcos Barros, a 5^th Degree Gracie Barra Black Belt.

Coach John enjoys teaching GB1 and GB2 classes and loves the camaraderie of sharing and learning with his fellow GB students. Being very detail oriented he enjoys sharing the finer points that can improve someone’s game. The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step and he hopes that you will take that step with us here at Gracie Barra.
