Gracie Barra Spring Branch is proud to serve the Spring Branch/Bulverde community. We live by our Gracie Barra motto – jiu jitsu for everyone!
Gracie Barra Spring Branch is led by Professor James Overton, who earned his black belt in 2019. He is a passionate and enthusiastic leader and excited to be a part of the Gracie Barra Spring Branch family. Professor James is also a proud husband and father, a veteran of the United States Army, and now serves his community as fireman and paramedic for the San Antonio Fire Department.
Haley & Kevyn O’Neill, owners of Gracie Barra Spring Branch and coaches under Professor James, are happy to be raising a family in Spring Branch. Haley & Kevyn are both passionate about jiu jitsu and their entire family trains – including a teenage son, a teenage daughter (who trains when she is not playing softball for the Rangers), and a son with Down Syndrome. Kevyn is a veteran of the United States Air Force, a personal trainer, and a certified instructor for Gracie Barra. Haley is a corporate attorney who spends her spare time training jiu jitsu – which she has found is a great stress reliever!
At Gracie Barra Spring Branch, you will find the best jiu jitsu instruction for everyone! Whether you are young, old, male, female, have a disability, need a good workout, want to learn self-defense, looking to lose weight, looking for structure for your kids, or need to relieve stress, we hope you will give jiu jitsu a try!
