He first began studying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu two and a half years ago in an effort to lose weight and to get into better shape. After his first class he was hooked and his passion for BJJ has never stopped growing. Pete strongly believes that no matter your age or athletic ability, BJJ is a place that you can come to and thrive if you put the effort in. He is an active competitor with wins (and loses) at local tournaments and IBJJF tournaments. He has been assisting with instructing kids BJJ classes for the last 2 years. He enjoys teaching kids how to defend themselves and have a skill that improves their self esteem. He has two children, Maya and Wyatt, also both train BJJ and he is incredibly lucky to have a wife that supports all the time, sweat, effort and emotion that they all put into BJJ.
