Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Professor Roger started training Jiu-Jitsu at the age of 7 years old. He is our Black Belt Head Instructor here at Gracie Barra Orlando, and he is in charge of our training curriculum.

Professor Roger started teaching kids and white belts at age 17 when he earned his blue belt. After achieving the rank of Black Belt, he began to teach full-time and has over 13 years of experience teaching both kids and adults at every level. His patience and passion for martial art, has driven him to teach students to be the best they can be at Gracie Barra Orlando.

When he is not training or teaching Jiu-Jitsu, Professor Roger enjoys spending time with his family, friends, and dogs.
