Training Day QLD 2025: A Day of Unity, Purpose, and Inspiration
Over the long weekend on 5 November 2025, the Gracie Barra family came together for a truly memorable event at Gracie Barra Surfers Paradise, the proud host of Training Day QLD 2025. The event exceeded all expectations and became a powerful expression of our core philosophy: “Jiu-Jitsu for Everyone.”
From early in the morning, the atmosphere on the mats was electric. The day began with a special Anti-Bullying session for kids, reinforcing values such as respect, confidence, and empathy. Soon after, the children showed their energy and determination in the Kids’ Competition Training, exchanging experiences and building friendships with students from schools across the region.
In the afternoon, the spirit of learning and inspiration continued with the Black Belt Seminar, led by instructors from several schools including Gracie Barra Caloundra, Burleigh Heads, Tweed Heads, Sydney (Frenchs Forest), Broadbeach, and Capalaba (Brisbane). The mats became a space of knowledge, technique, and connection — a true meeting of teachers and students.
Beyond the training sessions, the event carried an even greater purpose: raising funds to support our GB Oceania Ambassadors. Seeing the entire community come together for this cause was deeply moving — professors, students, and families all contributed with one shared goal: to help our team grow stronger together.
The day concluded with Black Belt promotions, applause, and heartfelt emotion. It was impossible not to feel how deeply the Training Day QLD 2025 reinforced what makes Gracie Barra so special: brotherhood, development, and shared purpose.
Events like this not only strengthen our skills on the mats but also our bonds as a team. Every session, every hug, and every story shared reminded us why we are part of this global family.
Gracie Barra thanks all the professors, students, and volunteers who made this event possible. May this spirit continue to inspire us in every school, every class, and every new challenge ahead.
“Together we are stronger — together we are Gracie Barra.”
