The Summit reinforced the strength of the global Gracie Barra community and the shared commitment to preserving and evolving the values that define Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu within the GB organisation.
Day 1 – Leadership and Human Connection
Leadership Day focused on strengthening relationships, encouraging self-reflection, and exploring the future of Gracie Barra.
Participants engaged in conversations, leadership exercises, and group discussions designed to create meaningful connections between members from different countries and backgrounds.
Themes throughout the day included emotional courage, trust, leadership responsibility, and the importance of protecting the Gracie Barra culture for future generations.
The sessions reinforced that leadership within Gracie Barra extends beyond teaching Martial Arts — it also involves serving the community, building strong relationships, and helping others grow both on and off the mats.
Day 2 – Reflecting on the GB Legacy
Legacy Day celebrated the story of Gracie Barra and the incredible journey from a single school in Barra da Tijuca to a worldwide organisation with more than 1,300 schools.
Grand Master Carlos Gracie Jr., together with members of the leadership board, shared reflections on the organisation’s history, values, and long-term vision.
One of the key messages repeated throughout the day was that the Gracie Barra legacy is built daily through the actions, behaviour, and commitment of every member.
