CompNet 2026: Hunter Valley State Championship Kicks Off the Road to Nationals
The CompNet 2026 season is officially underway across Gracie Barra Oceania, marking another year of structured Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition throughout Australia and the region.
The season began with strong momentum at the CompNet Hunter Valley State Championship, setting the tone for what promises to be a highly competitive year. Attention now turns to the upcoming CompNet Queensland State Championship, with the New South Wales State Championship soon to be announced. Each state event plays a critical role in preparing athletes for the premier event of the season — CompNet Nationals, taking place this September.
CompNet is Gracie Barra’s official in-house competition circuit, designed to provide a professional and organised pathway for students of all ages and levels. From Martial Arts for Kids programs to adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes, CompNet supports athlete development through structured competition, goal setting, and performance under pressure.
Last year’s CompNet Nationals raised the standard for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Australia, showcasing technical excellence, discipline, and the core values of the Gracie Barra philosophy: Brotherhood, Integrity and Development. The 2026 season continues to build on that foundation, strengthening the national BJJ community across Oceania.
With one major event complete and more ahead, this is the time for athletes across Gracie Barra schools to train with purpose, set clear goals, and commit to the journey toward Nationals.
