Prof. Johnathan Rodrigues “Jow Jow”

Prof. Jow Jow’s mission is to be able to impact and change people’s lives through Jiu-Jitsu, because he believes it. As Head Instructor at Gracie Barra North Phoenix, he wants to use the best tools he has, like the passion, love and experience he has, to unite and grow people through this art.
Prof. Jow Jow has been in the sport for over 12 years and started teaching jiu jitsu at age 16. When he started teaching his main objective was to try to help the needy children of his community in the city of Belo Horizonte in Brazil to have a new opportunity, to have sport as a reference and doors to new possibilities in their lives. Jow Jow was very accomplished and successful in his goal with the kids he helped, many are still in the sport to this day and have the same mission he had back then.
Prof. Jow Jow considers himself a long-time student and teacher of martial arts. Work and competitions are tools for him to continue making a difference in the lives of many and uniting people through Jiu-Jitsu.
Prof. Jow Jow is a black belt under Professor Caio Gregorio (his teacher since childhood and who gave him the opportunity to learn and all the love for the art of Jiu-jitsu), and Professor Flavio Almeida (who opened the doors of this world, and gave him the opportunity to live through what he loves most).
