Coach Solange is a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and an active competitor. She has trained in BJJ since 2012 with a few years off to spend time with her daughter.

Solange is a 2021 silver NoGi World IBJJF medalist at purple belt and a 2014 bronze World IBJJF medalist at blue belt. She has also won absolute titles at purple belt in Miami, Las Vegas and Boise and medaled at other major tournaments around the country. Solange is the program director at GB Kirkland and also works as a reporter covering politics for Newsmax. She has been in journalism since 2004.
