BLACK BELT – OPERATIONS MANAGER & INSTRUCTOR:

Born and raised here in Hannibal. Professor Michael grew up enjoying the outdoors-shooting, hunting, fishing, and riding ATV’s. He joined the Army at the age of 19 where he was first introduced to Jiu-Jitsu.

When the time came to get his daughter into a martial art, he knew Jiu-Jitsu was the only way to go. She was enrolled under Professor Beau in January of 2015. Michael joined shortly after and Jiu-Jitsu quickly took over as his main hobby. He says he uses it to stay physically active while learning a useful skill.

Upon receiving his Blue Belt in June of 2016 he decided it was time to give back, so he spent the summer volunteering as an assistant coach for the GB kid’s program. He jumped at the chance to become a member of the GB Hannibal staff in September of 2016.

Michael received his Black Belt from Professor Beau on March 16th, 2024 and continues to strive to improve himself through the art of Jiu-Jitsu and to share it with others so they can do the same.
