Prof. Heloysa Oliveira

Prof. Heloysa is a native of Manaus, Brazil and has been training Jiu-Jitsu since she was 6 years old. As a youth competitor she traveled to the United States several times to compete in the IBJJF Kid’s Pan Am tournament.

After taking home gold, she moved to the United States where she continued to train with Gracie Barra and earn an incredible competition record. Prior to earning her Black Belt, Prof. Heloysa became a 4x IBJJF World Champion, a No-GI World Champion, 4x Brazilian National Champion, 2x American National Champion, and 5x Pan Ams Champion.

Following her gold medal at the 2023 IBJJF Women’s Lightweight Brown Belt division, she was promoted on the podium and returned to Great Falls, VA ready to continue her training and begin her BJJ teaching career.
