Professor Jeff started training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2002 in Santa Fe, New Mexico under Professor Alberto Crane. Over the years, Professor Alberto brought many Brazilian champions and Masters through his doors that Professor Jeff had the opportunity to be either training partners with or to learn from, including: Master Carlos Gracie, Jr., Professor Vinicius “Draculino” Magalhães, Professor Romulo Barral, Professor Roberto “Tussa” Alencar, Professor Rafael “Barata” Freitas, and Professor Don Ortega. Over the course of his career, Professor Jeff has coached numerous competitors in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and mixed martial arts events worldwide. Professor Jeff received his black belt from Professor Tussa in 2012, and it was at that time that he brought Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to El Paso. Now a third degree black belt, Professor Jeff is the proud Head Instructor/Owner of Gracie Barra El Paso (Westside) Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy and now Gracie Barra East El Paso.
