Later he moved to Japan and after Italy, and he trained Jiu-Jitsu in both countries. He returned to Brazil in a short period of time, and soon with the help of his Professor Michael Reihner, realized the dream of setting up his first Gracie Barra school in the city of Lençóis Paulista, SP.
At Gracie Barra Lençóis Paulista, Rodrigo formed a strong team of practitioners and competitors, as well as acting as a Self Defense instructor for the São Paulo State Military Police for 3 years.
