Coach Fernando Amadeu started training Jiu Jitsu in 2011 in Brasilia – Brazil, the same city where Professor Roberto “Tussa” Alencar and Professor Rafael “Barata” Freitas are from. After graduating from College, Amadeu decided to live for Jiu Jitsu and started to work at the gym as a purple belt with his Professor Rodrigo “Rodé” Gomes.
In 2017, after achieving good results in competition at the purple belt Amadeu received his brown belt. He then was invited by Professor Tussa to come work at Gracie Barra Albuquerque as the Program Director and Kids Instructor for Gracie Barra Albuquerque. Starting in 2019 Coach Amadeu became now our full time Kids Instructor at Gracie Barra Albuquerque, working with love and professionalism he is helping GB kids find the best versions of themselves on and off the mats.
