(1) What is ICP?

 ICP is the Gracie Barra Instructors Certification Program developed by Master Carlos Gracie Jr. as a learning platform dedicated to pass to all Gracie Barra team members his teaching and leadership philosophies consolidated on the principles of the Gracie Barra Method.

With over 5,000 participants from all over the world having been through the course since it was launched in 2010, the ICP has placed a great contribution on keeping all GB Team members united as One Team, defending One Shield, in pursuit of One Goal: to teach Jiu-Jitsu for Everyone.

 The ICP is always evolving to reflect the improvements made to the GB method and innovations to the learning experience of each participant. The use of the most advanced e-learning technologies make the program virtually accessible by all.

(2) What is new about the ICP6?

The ICP6 is innovating once again providing each participant a fascinating learning experience directly from Master Carlos Gracie Jr., founder of Gracie Barra. For 10 weeks, you will have the privilege of being a student of Master Carlos studying his way of life, personal philosophies, as well as teaching and leadership styles that have made Gracie Barra the largest Jiu-Jitsu Team in the world. 

The ICP6 Global Community will allow you to connect with and exchange information with thousands of GB members on the five continents during the program. 

But that’s not all. The ICP6 is dedicated to all those who face the daily challenges of teaching Jiu-JItsu for Everyone. To help you and your team bridge the gap between theory and day-to-day practice, we have developed several Implementation Guides with practical activities specially designed to overcome common obstacles in the implementation of the Gracie Barra Method at your school. 

(3) When will registration for the ICP6 begin?

The pre-registration begins on Monday, March 27, 2017. Stay tuned as it will bring special discounts and exclusive bonus material.

(4) When will the ICP6 Courses begin?

The ICP6 begins on Monday, April 24, 2017. 

(5) Can anyone register for the ICP6?

The ICP6 is restricted to GB Team members only and participation is conditioned on the approval of the Head Instructor.

(6) How much time do I have to complete the ICP6?

You will have access to all the ICP6 content for 24 weeks.

(7) Can I extend my access to the ICP6 beyond 24 weeks?

Yes. In case you need more time to complete all program requirements, you can extend your access for another 24 weeks paying an extension fee.

(8) I am currently taking the ICP5, can I upgrade to the ICP6?

All people who have registered for the ICP5 after December 31, 2016 will have access to the ICP6 without any additional cost. We suggest you continue taking the ICP5 until completion and then begin the ICP6. It is important to note that all certificates issued by ICP5 will have an expiration date no later than December 31, 2017. 

(9)How long will the ICP6 certificate be valid for?

The ICP6 certificate will be valid for 12 months counting from the date of completion of all program requirements. Certificate will only be issued for blue belts and up.

(10) What are the requirements to complete the ICP6?

To complete the ICP6 and earn the ICP6 official certificate signed by Master Carlos Gracie Jr. you need to complete the following requirements: (I) Be a Gracie Barra Team Member, (II) have the approval of your instructor, (III) study all 10 courses of the program, (IV) respond correctly at least 75% of the ICP6 tests, (V) complete first aid CPR course, and (VI) send practical activity report signed by Head Instructor (applicable to colored belts only).

(11) How much time do I need to dedicate to complete all course requirements?

We recommend 2 hours of studies for each course. Since the ICP6 has 10 course, 20 hours should be dedicated to reading the articles, watching the videos and taking the tests online. For all participants on colored belts 32 hours of practical activities must be accomplished as well. Also, if you are not CPR certified, you should allocate about 3 hours to complete First Aid / CPR training.
