Get Ready for the Chicago Open BJJ Tournament with 5 Gracie Barra Black Belts

The Gracie Barra Competition Network is joining forces with the Gracie Barra Schools in Illinois to host a special competition training class with the worldwide renowned Jiu-Jitsu Professors Philipe Della Monica, Carlos Lemos, Marcos Barros, Marcelo Souza and Marcio Feitosa.

On top of being among the most decorated competitors in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, the Professors have a vast experience teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to students from all levels. In addition to their credentials you can expect their great personalities and charisma to add a special touch to that High Level BJJ Competition Training Class in Illinois.

The class will support the Gracie Barra athletes preparing for the upcoming Chicago Open BJJ Tournament to take place at the Chicago State University 9501 South King Drive Chicago, Illinois 60628, USA.

The class will take place at Gracie Barra Downers Grove  on March 8 from 5-8 pm.

Training Routine Designed by the guest Professors

From 5:00 pm – 5:30 pm: Warm up + take down drills.
From 5:30 pm – 6:00 pm: Guard pass drills.
From 6:00 pm – 6:30 pm: Guard defense drills.
From 6:30 pm – 7:00 pm: Study hall drill.
From 7:00 pm – 7:30 pm: Closing and team pictures.

Registration is easy

All participants must register online by completing the form below. Keep in mind the space is limited to 40 participants
and deadline for registration is March 6th.

Competition Class cost

To join the class, participants must pay an entrance fee of $40.00 to be paid at the GB Downers Grove front desk. Gracie Barra Certified Black Belts are eligible for a complimentary ticket.

All participants are required to bring donations to be given to West Suburban Community Pantry. They strive to provide clients with nutrient dense foods. Healthier food options such as low-fat, low-sugar and reduced-sodium products would be most appreciated.

Food needs: tuna, canned meat, peanut butter, jelly, rice mix, rice, beans, whole wheat crackers, hearty soup, dry pasta and canned tomatoes.

Personal Care needs: bathroom tissue, diapers, baby food, cleaning products and toiletries.
